On November 16th, 2NE1 and SECRET both released their latest Japanese works, which propelled them to the top of Japan’s Oricon Daily Charts.
SECRET placed 5th on the ‘Albums Daily Chart’ with their “Shy Boy” album, while 2NE1′s “Go Away” secured them a 9th place spot on the ‘Singles Daily Chart’.
Considering how both groups ranked on Oricon’s Top 10 in the same day demonstrates the increasing influence of Hallyu in the Japanese market.

The Wonder Girls responded to Teddy Riley‘s negative comments about the girls being a flop in the States.
On the November 16th episode of MBC ‘Golden Fishery – Radio Star‘, the Wonder Girls guest-featured on the program, making it a lively and entertaining show.
The MCs asked them what they thought in regards to Teddy Riley speaking negatively about their promotions overseas. “We found out reading articles online. We were more surprised by the fact that he even knew who we were,” the girls responded.
Teddy Riley who worked with SNSD on “The Boys“, recently tweeted saying no one is interested in the Wonder Girls and that SNSD would be a much bigger hit in the States.
MC Kim Gura asked, “Do you think he was keeping you in check as he worked with SNSD?”, to which the girls responded, “I think it actually benefited us. It gave us some publicity as we were getting ready to debut our album.”

Loen Entertainmenthas unveiled the official concept photo for IU‘s second full-length album!
On November 17th, Loen released the photo through their official Twitter, along with the message, “If you blink, you become an adult.”
The agency explained, “IU’s 2nd full-length album will be an album that shows an IU who is currently standing on the border between the ages of 19 and 20. ['20' is a significant age in Korea, as it signals legal adulthood] We hope fans will look forward to and take interest in IU’s comeback.”
IU’s upcoming album will be released on November 29th, but the tracks will be unveiled on the 22nd.
